Two Pakistan cricket board officials were issued show cause notice on Saturday for going to a casino in Colombo during the ongoing Asia Cup 2023.
The controversy erupted after pictures and videos of General Manager International Adnan Ali and Director Media Umar Farooq Kalson went viral on social media couple of days back.
According to Daily Jang, when the PCB issued the show cause notice, the officials clarified that they went to the casino for Halal Food since all the other restaurants in the area were closed.
However, the PCB has decided against taking immediate action against the duo.
The final decision on the matter will be taken by the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee Zaka Ashraf, who is currently in Sri Lanka with his family.
The Asia Cup is currently being played in Sri Lanka, however the matches have been heavily affected by rain.
